With dehydration, your body is going to end up using most of its water intake during the workout and that’s going to dry things up.

As a result, the body is unable to maintain homeostasis (balance) which is important when it comes to regulating the body’s cardiovascular system.

The body is constantly shedding water in the form of sweat and this can become evident deeper into a workout.

The sweat is filled with electrolytes, which are essential for the body.

Many patients state they notice an uptick in symptoms because of dehydration including headaches, fatigue, dizziness, and a dry throat.

The best way to manage this situation is to carry a water bottle with you throughout the gym and continue to drink from it consistently.

Otherwise, you are going to end up dealing with a bout of dehydration. Of course, this doesn’t mean it’s time to gulp an endless amount of water! Focus on what your body is telling you as that’s more than enough when it comes to handling dehydration.

You should stop right away and make sure to find a spot to sit down. You want to take a small swig from your water bottle to rehydrate as soon as possible. Plus, it’s important to start breathing deeply to get as much oxygen into your body as possible.

Do not continue to work out as that is dangerous and incredibly unnecessary. You will likely end up with severe issues that get worse with each passing minute. Sit down and let it pass.
